When in Argentina do as Gauchos do

Today, we went horse riding for the second time and it was brilliant! We got up early in the morning and set out for the meeting point where the horses were. Ismene and I waited a while rather impatiently as we longed to be out riding again. While waiting, Ismene and I played pooh sticks on the nearby bridge, and then, as if out of nowhere, we heard the sound of horses trotting along. We turned our heads, and there, towering above us, were two horses on the bridge next to us!

Ismene and I were riding, steering our own horses for the first time in our lives. We were soon out of the village and into the wild, along steep rocky terrain and having an amazing time! The horses were wonderfully calm and I felt incredibly safe astride mine! Towards the end the trail began to steepen and I would have been worried about going down had the horses not behaved so calmly.

In case you were wondering, no one fell off their horse this time, and by no one I mean Dan!

Bye - I'm off riding!
